MELT MAUVE is an improvisation collective started in 2023 by saxophone player David Caulet and electroacoustic performer Nicolas Bernier. Réminiscences of jazz (free or not), doom, joy, melancholy sirup or deep fried crackling textures are melting in a velvety, uninhibited, organic flow. Caulet’s saxophone is trigging modular synthesizers processes that Bernier is controlling, mutually responding/adapting to the musical content. Made with love in Montreal.
